Monitors gas pumps, traffic flow, storage tanks, cleans and manages spills, assists members, and responds to potential emergencies. Cleans, manages spills, and performs routine maintenance and inspections. Provides a high level of member service. Monitors pumps for proper function during operation, assesses problems, directs traffic, assists and educates members. Changes gas station filters and performs or arranges for routine station equipment maintenance. Cleans gas spills using neutralizing agents and/or absorbing cloth, disposing of materials properly. Monitors cleanliness of the station, including dispensers, data shed, islands, pavement, and trash. Loads pump receipt tape and ribbons. Performs inspection of all equipment, provides routine maintenance on filters and nozzles, and controls open or closed signs. Researches area competitive pricing, documenting reports into the computer. Monitors fuel deliveries, ensures safety precautions, and completes all documentation. Enforces National fire codes and Costco safety policies, e.g. no smoking, ignition turned off, filling storage containers. Responds to alarms appropriately. Uses fire extinguisher, as necessary. Ensures proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials. Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery. Assists with department duties as necessary. Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
