Lead Field Service Representative - Power Distribution/Electrical

Lead Field Service Representative Schneider’s Power Services Field Service Representatives play an impactful role within the organization, collaborating with customers, sales representatives, team members, and third‑party partners to install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment in a variety of dynamic environments. This is a home‑based flexible work schedule with a 40‑hour guarantee (+ overtime). Schneider Electric provides service vehicles, tools, uniforms, mobile devices, and laptops for daily professional use. Responsibilities Coach and mentor other Field Service Reps, giving technical advice, supporting quality checks, and helping diagnose and solve problems. Manage several customer key accounts. Carry out service or support work in line with standard procedures or practices, working outside of these boundaries when required. Provide pre‑ and/or post‑sales technical support, including commissioning, installing, testing and maintaining products, equipment and systems. Develop innovative solutions to more complex technical problems that arise during start‑up. Research, evaluate, and recommend new products or equipment upgrades that meet customer needs. Monitor and resolve recurring complex problems to ensure customer satisfaction. Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve technical problems during start‑up. Produce leads for Service support and train customers on the features of purchased equipment. Qualifications Leadership skills necessary to mentor and support team members in the field. Customer engagement skills to support the Power Services Manager in key customer interactions. 7+ years of experience as a shop or field electrical technician, with a minimum two‑year degree or technical certification in an electrical related program preferred. Demonstrated leadership skills among peer groups. Knowledge of advanced electrical industry manufacturing standards, including sections of ANSI IEEE C37 applicable to design and manufacture of breakers and switchgear. Knowledge of basic distribution protective relay testing, hi‑pot testing, and breaker function testing. Report and project summary writing skills. English proficiency for communication with customers and team members. Proficiency in basic computer skills and systems, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel) and ability to navigate and utilize company digital tools and resources.
