About the Role

The Company is in search of a Senior Counsel for Property and Casualty. This pivotal, business-facing role involves advising on a wide range of property and casualty insurance matters, as well as broader regulatory considerations. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and interpreting policies, endorsements, and key legal agreements, supporting state DOI filings, and managing regulatory responses. Additionally, the role includes assessing the impact of regulatory and statutory changes on insurance products and strategy, and partnering closely with internal stakeholders across various business units. Applicants for the Senior Counsel position should hold a JD from an accredited law school, with an active bar license in good standing, and have 4-5+ years' of experience in property and casualty insurance law. Strong drafting, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to operate independently while maintaining close alignment with business teams. The role offers the opportunity to collaborate with outside counsel on claims, disputes, and other legal matters, and is ideal for a candidate looking to make a tangible impact in a non-litigation, strategic capacity. Prior law firm or in-house insurance legal experience is preferred.
