Midwife Position at Birth Center of Denver

About this role:

Birth Center of Denver is the first and only hospital-owned freestanding birth center in the state of Colorado. We are a midwife-led birth center providing evidence-based, compassionate and supportive care to women and families in the Denver and surrounding areas. We offer prenatal care, customized education classes, labor support, water birth, postpartum and newborn care up to 14 days. CenteringPregnancy is our standard model of prenatal care. This group-based approach to prenatal care combines belly checks with time for discussion and shared learning about pregnancy, birth and babies and is focused on building a community with other pregnant parents!

This position includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus, and $7,500 in relocation assistance.

You will practice at the Birth Center of Denver in Denver, CO

You'll have clinical privileges at the Birth Center of Denver and St. Joseph's Hospital

The ideal candidate will have leadership experience with clinical experience in both birth center and hospital settings.

Enjoy a hybrid role with half your time dedicated to patient care, and half your time dedicated to administrative leadership

Your days will consist of a blend of clinic and call and will vary depending on clinical and leadership needs

Birth Center of Denver is owned by Saint Joseph Hospital and operates independently as a 5-bed licensed freestanding birth center. Should any "what ifs" arise, we have the full benefit of having Saint Joe's in our backyard, allowing for seamless transitions to the hospital if needed. Our Certified Nurse-Midwives will hold privileges at both Birth Center of Denver and Saint Joseph Hospital.

What you'll bring:

• Graduation from an ACNM accredited nurse-midwifery education program
• Active AMCB certification
• At least 5 years of full-scope midwifery practice
• Active, unobstructed Colorado medical license, or the ability to obtain one
• Full prescriptive authority and an active DEA, or the ability to obtain one
• Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health's credentialing process
• We are not able to accept candidates requiring Visa sponsorship at this time

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$50.97 - $78.69
