Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of pediatric patients, taking into consideration their unique developmental stages, psychological, and social requirements.
• Provide preventative care including vaccinations, immunization assessments, and routine health screenings, ensuring well-child visits are conducted according to established guidelines.
• Manage and treat a variety of pediatric acute and chronic conditions, documenting patient progress accurately and in a timely manner.
• Perform necessary therapeutic procedures such as injections, wound care, sutures, and management of infections, ensuring compliance with best practice standards.
• Develop, implement, and review individualized patient management plans, facilitating continuity of care and making adjustments based on patient responses.
• Offer education and counseling to patients and their families regarding health maintenance, growth and development issues, and compliance with therapeutic regimens.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams in reviewing medical charts and participating in quality assurance initiatives to enhance patient care standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner will primarily focus on providing care to children from birth through young adulthood. This population includes healthy infants and adolescents, as well as those with specific health challenges that require ongoing management. Our clinic prioritizes well-child care while also addressing acute illnesses and chronic diseases such as asthma, allergies, and obesity. The capacity to communicate effectively with both children and their families is crucial for this role.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with an active Registered Nurse (RN) license, alongside a Nurse Practitioner license that includes a DEA license and current CPR certification.
• National Certification as a Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, showcasing your expertise in pediatric healthcare.
• A genuine passion for community-based healthcare, with an innate ability to build rapport within diverse families.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a pediatric outpatient setting will be an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits
