This person will play an integral part in our growing NEPA practice in the Honolulu office.Your Key ResponsibilitiesThe candidate will be expected to have extensive direct client engagement, both in executing NEPA project work and developing new work with new and existing clientsDemonstrated NEPA experience with DoD clients specifically and a strong local network within the federal engineering, planning, and/or environmental community is necessaryExperience managing complex DoD NEPA projects within the Pacific regionPlan and support local marketing activitiesAssist in development and execution of federal, state and local-level business development plansDevelop winning relationships with local business partners(e.g., small businesses)Assist in cultivating a sustainable and growing backlog ""Your Capabilities and CredentialsDemonstrated and enduring experience conducting business within the Pacific regionStrong relationships with federal clients is requiredProven track record as a high performer who can self-motivate to get resultsAbility to exercise professional discretion and judgementExperience in management/leadership positions and training/mentoring staffProven success in leading teams in support of client objectivesValid driver's license with good driving recordPosition requires a pre-employment Drug screen PreferredContacts with local state, city/county, education, or industrial/commercial entities in Hawaii/Pacific is desirableExperience authoring and managing Hawaii Environmental Policy Act(“HEPA”)(Hawaii Revised Statutes Chapter 343) documents is desirable.Education and ExperienceBS/BA Degree in relevant field preferred(Environmental Studies, Biology, Wildlife Biology, Engineering, Community/Urban Planning, or similar fields.)Minimum 10 years’ experience in the federal sector as a NEPA“seller-doer” authoring and managing NEPA documents.Ability to obtain IAW NISPOM security clearance PreferredMaster’s Degree in relevant field preferred(Environmental Studies, Biology, Wildlife Biology, Engineering, Community/Urban Planning, or similar fields.)Professional registration/certification(PE, AICP, PMP, RA, etc) is preferred, but not necessary.
