ServiceNow HAM SAM Developer

Location: Jersey City, NJ

Duration: 6 months

Act as a technical expert for ServiceNow HAM and SAM/SAM Pro modules

Design and implement asset lifecycle management solutions from procurement to retirement

Collaborate with cmdb and IT operations teams for data alignment

Support integration of ServiceNow with enterprise systems

Ensure software license compliance and optimization

Manage and maintain asset data accuracy and normalization

Work with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements

Drive automation across asset and software management processes

Provide technical guidance on ServiceNow best practices

Participate in system enhancements and continuous improvements

Design, configure, and enhance ServiceNow HAM and SAM modules

Implement hardware and software asset models and lifecycle workflows

Configure normalization rules and entitlement reconciliation processes

Manage software license models, compliance, and optimization workflows

Develop and maintain integrations using REST and SOAP with external systems

Integrate with tools like SCCM/MECM, Active Directory, Azure AD, and procurement systems

Configure and manage mid servers and authentication mechanisms

Build import sets, transform maps, and scheduled jobs for data ingestion

Develop customizations using business rules, client scripts, script includes, and UI policies

Create workflows using flow designer for approvals and lifecycle changes

Generate dashboards, reports, and performance analytics

Ensure data integrity and compliance with organizational policies

Strong hands-on experience in ServiceNow HAM and SAM modules

Expertise in software asset management (SAM Pro preferred)

Experience in hardware asset management lifecycle processes

Proficiency in REST and SOAP web service integrations

Strong knowledge of CMDB and data modeling

Experience with mid server configuration and management

Ability to create and manage normalization and reconciliation rules

Proficiency in scripting (JavaScript in ServiceNow platform)

Experience in building workflows and automation

Strong understanding of software licensing and compliance
