Job Description
We currently have a vacancy for a Director of Nursing to work a Full-Time schedule in our Skilled Nursing Side of the Community. In this position a Director of Nursing will be responsible for supervision, provision, and quality of nursing care in Skilled Nursing. He/she is responsible for the selection, training, discipline and supervision for all nursing related Skilled Nursing personnel. He/she is responsible for the procurement of appropriate supplies and equipment and operating within the departmental budget.

Job Description

Requirements:
- Possess a valid and current RN nursing license for the State of Michigan. Minimum of three years as a Director of Nursing required and preferably in a long-term care/skilled nursing setting. At least two years' experience in geriatric nursing and/or B.S. Degree in nursing. Participation in professional organizations, dealing primarily in geriatrics preferred. NADONA certification a plus. Basic computer proficiency. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrate understanding, patience, tact, respect and courtesy in dealing with resident/client's, family and visitors. Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend written and oral instructions in English.
