Assistant Manager II

Responsibilities Assist with day‑to‑day store functions and activities. Provide customer service in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns. Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to store areas; maintain seasonal displays. Perform opening and closing procedures as needed. Execute corporate directives such as Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Key Survey information requests, and additional store communications. Maintain promotional effectiveness of store‑front fixtures and displays. Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, and record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash register deposits and receipts). Apply loss prevention practices and protect company assets, including store cash. Maintain store cleanliness, including bathrooms, floors, trash removal, and overall presentation. Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates. Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers, associates, and leaders. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills and Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred; reading and interpreting operational directives required. Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug-store environment preferred. Physical capability to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting. Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required. Ability to work in a high‑energy, team environment required. Exceptional customer service, organization, and communication skills required. Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills required.
