Licensed Practical Nurse, Long Term Care (Evening Shift)

ARMStaffing is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse, Long Term Care (Evening Shift) in Claremont, New Hampshire.

Schedule/Shift

Evening shift from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with every other weekend required.

Job Description

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will be responsible for observing residents, administering medications, and supervising nursing assistants in accordance with New Hampshire Board of Nursing regulations. The LPN will facilitate physician rounds, ensure compliance with infection control practices, and document resident care accurately using computerized systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the mental and physical well-being of residents, and report observations to the supervisor.
• Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders, ensuring proper documentation.
• Supervise and assist nursing assistants with resident care as needed.
• Coordinate resident admissions, discharges, and transfers, completing necessary documentation.
• Facilitate communication with families regarding resident concerns and changes in treatment plans.
• Start and manage oxygen therapy, gastrostomy feedings, and wound care as per facility protocols.
• Assist with staff education and onboarding.

Required Experience

• 3+ years of current LPN experience within the last 6 months.
• Experience in rural or small facility settings preferred.
• Previous travel experience is highly preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current LPN license for New Hampshire required.
• BLS certification (AHA) required.
• IV certification required or willingness to obtain during onboarding.
• COVID-19 vaccination proof required; declinations or exemptions are not accepted.
