Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Surgery Duration: Temporary Shift: Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred. License: RN License in state of employment or compact Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS required Must-Have: Experience as a circulator nurse Description: The competent nurse practices independently in a clinical setting. Provides routine and complex care with the ability to manage long-range goals or plans. Continuously develops skills to cope with and manage clinical contingencies. Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers to manage clinical situations. Meets expectations of applicable competencies in nursing. Utilizes the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families. Administers medications and treatments as per protocol; monitors for side effects and effectiveness of the prescribed treatment. Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given. Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and caregivers. Identifies issues and resources for patient care. This position requires a capable and experienced nurse ready to work effectively from day one. Candidates should be prepared for on-call shifts and may float to other areas as needed. This opportunity could lead to a potential permanent position in the future.
