Production Supervisor (1st Shift - 6am-2:30pm) - Chatsworth, CA

Job Overview

Hubbell is on the search for a Production Supervisor for our Chatsworth, CA facility to be part of a growing, dynamic, and diverse team. The person selected for this role will have the ability to make recommendations and improvements that will directly impact the site’s processes and procedures. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for leading the manufacturing activities of the assigned group by providing direction and coaching. The Supervisor will ensure team members receive the required training and will prepare the daily work plans in support of overall production goals and objectives using SAP EWM. The position will be compensated based on experience, pay range is expected to be $80,000 - $90,000 per year.

A Day In The Life

• Implement and enforce Company safety guidelines in partnership with EHS to ensure employees work in a safe manner consistent with Hubbell policies and procedures.
• Schedule work assignments, vacations, and ensure accurate time reporting for Hourly Employees.
• Creating and promoting a positive and inclusive culture built on respect and professionalism.
• Conducting shift start-up meetings, communicate production objectives, and addressing operational challenges.
• Planning work assignments to achieve maximum utilization of manpower, materials, equipment, and facilities.
• Resolve team conflict and manage personnel issues that may arise in partnership with Human Resources.
• Communicating to management any changes or conditions which may affect production.
• Monday through Friday from 6:00AM- 3:00PM. Some Saturdays required.

This position will be focusing in the Large Casting Department with the following expectations:

• Identify and/or resolve problems related to production processes and/or flow and work with key stakeholders to follow-thru on resolutions.
• Assess and maintain necessary raw material inventory levels to meet productivity and output targets.
• Manage system transactions in SAP EWM and resolve system discrepancies as needed by working with Production Control and other support staff.

• Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred
