Clinician-Theater Arts Production Company School Job Category : Clinical Requisition Number : CLINI007382 Posted : August 31, 2026 Full-Time Locations Showing 1 location New York, NY 10001, USA Description Job Summary The School-Based Clinician works in the Bronx, at the Theater Arts Production Company School, a 6th -12th grade arts-based Community School. The Clinician is responsible for the delivery of age-relevant program activities and direct services, outreach, and paperwork for billing and clinical purposes. The Clinician will support facilitation of professional development workshops. They will report to the Site Manager and/or Clinical Program Manager. The School-Based Clinician position is a 10-month position (September -June), 40 hours per week, and will be supervised by the Site Manager. How You'll Be Making a Difference Responsible for a caseload of students, including maintaining attendance and educational progress, providing students and families with continuous feedback and resources to meet the needs and ensure academic success Provides individual and group counseling to students on a weekly basis Supports and co-facilitates classroom sessions – Advisory, Side by Side, and/or SEL curriculum Provides outreach to students and their families, including phone calls, written correspondence, and home visits Facilitates communication between students, families, and school staff Provides crisis counseling, conflict mediation and social-emotional support Completes screenings, assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and provides referrals Facilitates use of evaluation tools for school-based services Timely completion of required documentation for clinical and billing purposes (EMR Dr. Cloud) Participates in staff meetings and staff development opportunities Collaborates on transdisciplinary team of Wediko and school staff to create individualized plans to support student progress Participates in PBIS and other multi-tiered systems of supports in the school Occasional evening and weekend hours required (occasional school events, college visits, etc.) Supports the facilitation of professional development workshops for school staff Cultivates and maintains effective relationships with school staff and other school-based partners Represents Wediko in the field via participation or presentations at panels, conferences, meetings, etc. Supports the implementation of the Community School Model Upon completion of the academic school year, and based on needs of the organization, the School-Based Clinician may be moved to a different site the following school year. Qualifications Advanced degree in mental health/counseling (e.g., MSW, M.S. Ed in Counseling, MFT, etc.) Licensed professional strongly preferred Clinical supervision and client contact hours towards independent licensure 1-3 years’ experience working within or managing programs serving youth and families Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to approach challenges in a supportive and creative manner Excellent organizational and prioritization skills Flexible schedule and willingness to work school hours as well as some weekends/evenings in support of school events Upon completion of the academic school year, and based on needs of the organization, theSchool-Based Clinician may be moved to a different site the following school year.
