Travel RN - Telemetry

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele Float Pool RN with active MA RN licensure required, cardiac monitoring expertise, and willingness to float across 8 units on a rotating shift schedule.

Job Details

• Float Pool position covering 8 Med/Surg Telemetry units including Davenport 5, 7, 8, 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, and Overflow,
• Patient population includes ED border patients, acute mental health medication administration, and non-vented ICU transfer-ready patients,
• Unit census ranges from 8 to 41 beds within a 371-bed hospital,
• Clinician to patient ratio up to 5:1 on days/evenings and up to 6:1 on nights,
• Day/evening shift rotation with 1 to 3 rotations to nights per contract, plus every-other-weekend requirement,
• 36 or 48 hour weekly schedule options,
• Uses EPIC EMR for charting,
• Performs telemetry monitoring including interval measurement and strip interpretation every 4 hours,
• Performs cardiac drips and TR Band procedures,

Job Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required (conditional/pending licenses not accepted),
• AHA BLS certification required,
• AHA ACLS certification preferred,
• Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location,
• Minimum 2 years of experience working as a Traveler,
• Telemetry monitoring experience required, including cardiac drip management and strip interpretation,
• TR Band experience required,
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed,

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry nursing care while floating across multiple Med/Surg units within the hospital,
• Must be willing to float to all 8 designated units as assigned,
• Free on-site parking available,
• Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of the Boston facility to be considered at a reduced local rate,
• Timekeeping is managed through UKG/Kronos
