Location: Sioux Falls, SD

Turn Your Tech Skills Into Ownership Success
Do you thrive on technical challenges and helping businesses succeed? Your troubleshooting expertise could make you an owner—not just an employee.
As our Field Service Technician, you'll be providing hands-on, on-site support that keeps grocery and hospitality businesses moving. From checkout lanes and payment systems to restaurant and convenience store technology, you'll be the go-to problem solver our clients rely on to keep their operations running smoothly. Plus, after just 6 months, you'll be eligible for our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) – your hard work directly translates to shared profits and wealth building.
What You'll Do
Technical Excellence:
Learn POS systems through our comprehensive training program
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues remotely and on-site
Install and deploy cutting-edge retail systems
Travel to Client sites (company vehicle provided)
Client Impact:
Be the expert who gets businesses back up and running when systems go down
Lead installation projects from delivery through documentation
Maintain critical inventory systems
What We're Looking For
We’re looking for someone with hands-on computer and technology experience who enjoys troubleshooting and working with hardware and software. Experience or familiarity with IT, networking, Wi-Fi, computer hardware, and basic technical troubleshooting is a plus.
If you’re comfortable working with technology, figuring out how things work, and solving problems, we’d love to hear from you!
Must Have:
Valid driver's license with a clean record.
Self-motivated problem-solver who can troubleshoot issues independently.
Networking fundamentals — understanding of basic networking concepts such as Ethernet, Wi-Fi, IP addresses, routers, switches, and connectivity issues.
Comfortable providing hands-on technical support at client locations
Why North Country?
Industry Leader Since 1948 - 75+ years serving grocery, convenience, and hospitality industries
True Ownership - After 6 months, become an associate-owner through our ESOP and share in company success
Career Growth - From technical roles to leadership positions with unlimited advancement potential
Great Balance - Mix of fieldwork and office support with travel
Ready to Own Your Career?
Join North Country where your problem-solving skills don't just fix systems—they build your financial future. Apply today and discover what it means to be more than an employee. Become an owner.
