Requirements

• Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• Licensed dental hygienist
• Local Anesthesia Certification

Licensure: Must hold a current Registered Dental Hygienist license and a current Local Anesthetic licensure.
Certification: Requires a current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification.
Characteristics: Must possess a positive attitude, bright personality, and a strong desire to learn, grow, and work cooperatively with the team.

Job Description

Overview: Smiles Ohio is seeking a dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist to join a supportive clinical team in West Chester, Ohio, offering a stable weekday schedule focused on high-quality patient care without Friday or weekend hours.
Responsibilities: Main duties include recognizing periodontal disease based on clinical findings, providing comprehensive patient education regarding oral health and nutrition, taking diagnostic quality images, and performing non-surgical periodontal therapy according to AAP guidelines.
Clinical Duties: Administer local anesthetics when necessary, provide exceptional preventive care such as scaling, polishing, flossing, sealants, and professionally applied fluoride, and effectively appoint return re-care visits to ensure long-term patient health.
