Secondary Education Affiliate Instructor

Position Summary Affiliate Faculty – Secondary, K‑12, and Educational Technology at Metropolitan State University of Denver. Responsibilities Teach 1‑9 credit hours per semester, delivering courses in person or online. Prepare and deliver course materials, lesson plans, and assessments. Grade student work, provide timely feedback, and offer academic support. Consult with students and supervise field experiences as needed. Ensure instruction aligns with syllabus, departmental policies, and university evaluation standards. Adapt to new teaching modalities and address the needs of a diverse student population. Qualifications Master’s degree in Education or related field (required). ABD or completed Doctorate (preferred). Middle and/or high school teaching experience (preferred). Demonstrated ability to develop engaging instruction and support diverse learners. Terms of Employment Affiliate faculty are part‑time, at‑will employees, hired on a per credit‑hour basis for specific classes on a semester‑by‑semester basis. No employment benefits are provided. Salary Rate of pay per credit hour assignment: $1,264 – $1,482, depending on university policy.
