Job Summary: Join as an onsite Contested Paralegal in Winston-Salem, NC, working Monday-Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm to support attorneys in civil litigation. Provide clerical and research assistance, including document preparation and review, investigations, fact-checking, and trial preparation. Handle client meetings, draft pleadings, motions, affidavits, and interrogatories, track billable hours, and maintain confidentiality in a fast-paced environment. Requires 2 years of civil litigation experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Meet with attorneys, clients, and professionals to discuss cases or projects.
• Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, and interrogatories.
• File motions and pleadings following judicial procedures.
• Research statutes, regulations, judicial decisions, and legal sources.
• Analyze findings and provide written summaries to attorneys.
• Prepare, organize, store, and retrieve case files including evidence, exhibits, depositions, and pleadings.
• Track and maintain billable hours records for cases.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Key Requirements:

• 2 years of civil litigation experience.
• Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong understanding of legal language, principles, research methods, court pleadings, and processes.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proven time management skills to meet deadlines.
