About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Must possess a valid state license Certifications: BLS, NRP Must-Have: 2 years of experience in a related specialty Description: Seeking a registered nurse specializing in Mother-Baby, Couplet Care, and Post Partum. The nurse will be responsible for providing care to both mothers and newborns. Nurse-patient ratios are 1:4, ensuring high-quality individualized care. The position requires experience with charting systems, specifically Epic. The nurse should be familiar with various procedures including discharge teaching and newborn assessments. The role may involve floating between similar units as needed. Candidates must have the ability to manage postpartum care and complications. Must have strong communication skills and the ability to educate parents on care techniques. Additional requirements include experience with administration of medications and IV therapy. The role involves assisting with circumcision upon request and providing education on breast feeding and infant care. Candidates will be expected to work weekends and holidays as required.
