Therapist - Physical Therapist

Job Summary:

Provide specialized physical therapy services to adult patients in an acute care setting, focusing on functional recovery and mobility improvement. Deliver evidence-based evaluations and treatments while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive patient evaluations to determine functional status and establish individualized treatment plans.

Implement therapeutic interventions using basic rehab equipment, portable parallel bars, ceiling lifts, and other modalities.

Document patient progress and treatment details accurately in Sunrise Allscripts system.

Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and staff to coordinate care and adjust plans as needed.

Maintain compliance with hospital policies, unit-specific guidelines, and safety standards, including dress code and certification requirements.

Participate in weekend shifts and flexible start times, with coverage across inpatient and emergency departments as needed.

Qualifications:

Hold an active NH Physical Therapy License and BLS certification.

Possess at least 2 years of relevant acute care experience, including higher volumes of cardiac, vascular, and orthopedic cases.

Demonstrate proficiency in vestibular assessment and treatment preferred but not required.

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.

Strong communication skills and adaptability to diverse patient diagnoses.
