School Nurse Opportunity in West New York, NJ

Exciting opportunity for licensed nurses seeking a dynamic school-based position in the West New York, NJ area! This full-time contract role supports a student on a 1:1 basis for the entire 2026/27 school year, with an immediate start date. If you're an RN or LPN with experience in pediatrics, this position allows you to make a lasting impact in a rewarding educational environment.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Active RN or LPN/LVN nursing license (New Jersey)
• Pediatric nursing background required; experience in a school setting is a plus
• Not accepting new graduates for this role
• Skilled in providing 1:1 care and responding to students' medical needs during the school day
• Comfortable supervising and providing care while riding the school bus
• Strong communication and organizational abilities

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive, compassionate nursing care on a 1:1 basis for a student throughout the school day
• Ride the school bus with the student, providing support and monitoring en route to and from school
• Oversee health and safety needs, administering medications and treatments as required
• Maintain clear, accurate health records and communication with school staff and student's caregivers
• Collaborate with teachers, aides, and other professionals to ensure a safe, inclusive learning environment
• Exhibit professionalism, flexibility, and empathy in all interactions

This schedule runs Monday through Friday, approximately 7:50/8:00am to 3:00pm. You'll play a vital, hands-on role ensuring your student's health and well-being, all while engaging with the broader school community.
