Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• 3 months of Epic experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• COVID booster required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Staffency Program - Gundersen Health System.

Additional Details:

An interview with the unit manager may not be available prior to offer. If you do not interview with the unit manager, you may interview with a third-party clinical nurse manager.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Previous experience working in Critical Access Hospital.

• Must have taken care of someone younger than the age of 18.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Ability to work in charge nurse capacity as back-up. Previous charge experience is strongly preferred.

Required Credentials:

• Associate Degree or Certificate

• AHA PALS is required b/c occasionally the M/S floor will have a pediatric patient

Special Request: Candidate must start medical portion of compliance within 48 hours of accepted offer, or 24 hours for a quick start.

Shift & Scheduling:

• 12hr Day/NOC Variable Shift (must be flexible) (start 5a for day, 5p for NOCS)

• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend & holiday rotation

• On Call/Call Back Requirements: Would only be on call if agreeable to do so due to low census. Call back would only occur in an emergency situation. 30-min response time.

9 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 3 years

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
