Housing Specialist

For over 50 years, MHMR has provided community-based services for youth and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), mental health conditions, and substance use disorders, as well as babies and young children with developmental delays. As a Facilities Housing Specialist you will work closely with clients building their self-efficacy based on a home visitation model utilizing relational theory and stages of change concepts ultimately equipping clients with skills to sustain sobriety and recovery from addition and trauma. The goal is to increase client self-sufficiency and maintain their housing arrangements. We are looking for a Housing Specialist to join our team. In this role you will Assist in the development of recovery management plans jointly with clients, family, counselors, and team members. Plans include personal goals that can be obtained in a 12-month time frame. Ensures that all required paperwork is completed in a timely manner as determined by the program's standards. Provides intensive case coordination services to a minimum of 20 clients through routine utilization of a provider network. Maintain a sense of connectedness to each client’s growth and development by continually evaluating the progression of growth and development. Performance Requirement(s): Ensures that the client is getting the services needed from the network of providers that were identified and agreed to be a part of the client’s life. Completes MHMR of Tarrant Countyrequire training and training refreshers as required by MHMR of Tarrant CountyTraining Center. Qualifications: Minimum Education High School / GED Required Experience: At least six (6) months experience Defined Experience : Experience in substance field Required License : Valid Texas driver's license with an acceptable driving record Must provide license (if applicable) and official documentation of all educational attainment i.e. Transcript/Degree/Certificate Substitutions: 6 months substance abuse life experience, or a bachelor's degree in health & human services Why Choose MHMR as Your Employer MHMR offers an excellent competitive benefits package designed to support the wellbeing of our employees and their families.
