Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Current and valid state-issued nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, EKG course/Telemetry test, NIHSS required Must-Have: - Experience in critical care and telemetry - Ability to float as needed within scope Description: This position involves caring for a variety of patients, with a focus on orthopedic and colorectal post-operative patients. The role is performed on a fast-paced medical-surgical unit. There are opportunities for growth in nursing skills, critical thinking, and time management. The facility promotes continued development, teamwork, and leadership. The unit utilizes virtual nursing to assist with admissions, discharges, and rounding to enhance patient care. Clinicians must float to other areas to meet facility needs. Candidates must have no license hits. Travel experience is required. It is essential to possess strong skills in telemetry monitoring and care management. The patient-to-nurse ratio is expected to be 5 patients per nurse. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in managing a variety of medical conditions.
