Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate posture, gait, balance, coordination, and strength to develop individualized treatment plans aimed at restoring patient mobility and independence.
• Lead, guide, and direct the delivery of physical therapy services within the facility in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations and established policies and procedures.
• Assist residents with functional tasks such as transitioning from a chair, climbing stairs, and other activities of daily living.
• Identify areas of strength and weakness to tailor therapy interventions that promote resident health and quality of life.
• Ensure all physical therapy services comply with skilled nursing and long-term care regulations, standards, and guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• Valid, unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of Missouri.
• Meets all educational requirements associated with PT licensure.
• Minimum of 1 year of physical therapy experience.
• Valid driver's license in the state of employment.
• Knowledge of skilled nursing home regulations, procedures, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a long-term care (LTC) or rehabilitation setting.
• Familiarity with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) standards and quality measures.
