HR Generalist II

We are seeking an HR Generalist II to join our Cleveland, Ohio team. The ideal candidate brings strong business acumen, HR expertise, and employer relations skills to support both employees and leaders. This role provides a wide range of HR guidance and hands‑on support, contributing directly to a positive and productive work environment by advising on performance management, employee relations, and best practices while fostering strong partnerships between employees and management. Key Responsibilities Partner with management to advise and counsel on personnel issues. Provide facility supervision on employee relations matters, including investigations, resolving conflict, and communications regarding employee questions, issues, or concerns. Assist in recruiting for non‑exempt roles to bring in the best talent available. Ensure regulatory compliance with ADA, FMLA, EEOC, etc., and stay current on recent federal, state, and case law changes and monitor labor law updates that affect HR. Respond to general employee inquiries and issues, supporting the operation with day‑to‑day HR needs as they arise. Partner with associates and managers to administer various policies and procedures, and assist in the development and implementation of policies with a focus on continuous improvement. Prepare and maintain records and procedures for controlling personnel transactions and reporting personnel data; maintain HRIS integrity. Partner with managers to actively improve associate engagement, including maintaining and coordinating recognition programs and employee events. Partner with managers to establish and provide training and development opportunities. Act as Workers’ Compensation liaison for employee, management, and TPA to ensure effective claim management. Responsible for internal company communication, including bulletin boards, company newsletter, etc. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills and Qualifications 3+ years of broad, hands‑on human resources experience in a manufacturing environment. Recruiting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field is required. Fluency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to exercise a high degree of professionalism in interactions with all levels of internal and external clients and work effectively with different cultures. Manage multiple priorities and dynamic deadlines, flexible and positive in a fast‑paced business environment, with efficient time management and communication. Continuous improvement mentality. Strong oral and written communication skills, with proven influencing experience with managers. Ability to analyze data, form plans, and execute at the tactical level. Detail oriented, able to establish priorities and manage deadlines.
