Certified Medical Assistant

Location: Indianapolis, IN 46204
Contract Duration: 16 Weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Lunch: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide front- and back-office support in a patient-focused healthcare environment. The Medical Assistant will assist with clinical and administrative duties while maintaining a collaborative relationship with the healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients.
• Room patients and prepare them for provider visits.
• Schedule appointments and answer incoming phone calls.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs.
• Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture.
• Administer vaccines as directed.
• Perform EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing.
• Provide additional clinical and administrative support as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation within the EMR.
• Support daily front- and back-office operations.
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff.
• Promote health education and patient outreach initiatives.
• Maintain a professional, organized, and patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience , excluding externship experience.
• Medical Assistant certification strongly preferred .
• Phlebotomy/Venipuncture experience required.
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience required.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment.
• Interest in health education, community outreach, and patient engagement.
