Job Summary and Qualifications

Obtain quality MRI images of patients.

Complies with radiation safety guidelines. Operates MRI equipment safety including screening all patients for contraindications.

Demonstrates the ability to perform all necessary computer operations.

Render patient care in a professional and courteous manner. Observant of patients' conditions.

Prepare MRI scanner and perform quality control tests.

Administers contrast media as required.

Reviews each exam for technical accuracy and identifies anatomical orientation on all images.

Completes and maintains educational requirements.

Prepares patients, collects relevant information for completion of procedures.

Understands and operates electronic information systems.

Participates in Department QA as requested. Keeps department neat, orderly and well stocked.

Ensures patient safety, to include cleaning the bore of the magnet as required.

Other duties as assigned.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiological Technology, Nuclear Medicine, or Ultrasonography. - Required

One year experience as a Radiology Technologist. - Preferred

ARRT (R) Registered - Required

ARRT (MR) Registered - Required

-must obtain within 6 months of hire or start in position

Basic Cardiac Life Support - Required
