Since then, Myers Industries has expanded to become a leading polymer manufacturer of material handling containers and distributor of tire repair and retread products for both domestic and international markets.Job OverviewThe Supply Chain Manager is responsible for effectively managing inventory costs. This role will direct supply chain projects to ensure they are on time and within budgetary controls.Duties And ResponsibilitiesDrive process and system improvements that challenge the status quo and are focused on finding inefficiencies, reducing errors, and driving out costsIdentify and report on key performance indicators that measure performance against the strategic plan and allow for data driven, fact-based decision makingCreate and manage inventory strategies that take into consideration supply volatility while driving optimization of inventory with Purchasing to balance available supply on hand inventories with scheduling and productionEnhance supplier relationships by supporting them in building and delivering continuous improvement plans and/or roadmapsEvaluates processes, conducts quality supply chain audits, identifies quality issues and develops and implement process improvement plansKnowledge, Skills And AbilitiesStrategy and project management experienceAdvanced quantitative ability (Excel modeling) and financial acumenStrong leadership and demonstrated ability to communicate well at all levels in the organizationStrong interpersonal, problem-solving, organizational and facilitation skills with strong customer service orientationThorough working knowledge of supply chain principles and processingEducation And ExperienceBachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related field requiredMinimum of 8 years of progressive experience in supply planning experience – manufacturing industry experience requiredWorking ConditionsDomestic and international travel required up to 30%; must have valid passportRemote or hybrid work environment based out of locations specific to Myers Industries office hubs (Toronto, Ontario, Canada; Miami, OK, USA; Cincinnati, OH, USA; Dallas, TX, USA)Myers Industries, Inc. is an equal opportunity at will employer and does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of age, race, religion, color, disability, sex, sexual orientation or national origin.
