Physical Therapist Assistant

Role: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Responsibilities Perform treatments, exercise instruction, and patient education following the plan of care established by the supervising Physical Therapist. Instruct and assist patients with active/passive exercises, gait, ADLs, transfers, safety, and prosthetic training. Observe, document, and report patient responses and condition changes to the healthcare team. Educate patients, families, caregivers, and team members within the PTA scope of practice. Conduct patient visits within the service area. Qualifications & Skills Licensed, registered, or certified to assist in physical therapy in the practice state. Current CPR certification. Ability to work effectively in diverse home settings regardless of patient background. Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation.
