Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week contract in a MedSurg/Ortho unit at a Level 2 Trauma Center. This role is ideal for a seasoned traveler with strong MedSurg/Ortho experience looking for their next assignment in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Shift Details

• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 09/15/2026

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Med Surg (Medical Surgical) – Ortho
• Care Setting: Acute (Level 2 Trauma Center)
• Division: Nursing
• Bed Count: 17 beds
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:5
• Charting System: Cerner
• Charge Nurse: Clinical Supervisor (no patient assignment; provides break relief)
• Nurse Aides: 1 aide per 8-hour day shift
• Telemetry: Portable tele box as needed; monitor techs available, but nurses must be able to read/interpret rhythms (dysrhythmia exam required)
• Floating: To Telemetry (1:4 ratio) and between MedSurg floors
• Hospitalist Coverage: On-site 24/7
• RT & Pharmacy: Available 24/7

Common Diagnoses/Patient Types
Hip, knee, shoulder, and spine cases (no drip management required)

Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years of MedSurg/Ortho specialty experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• BLS Certification
