Job Description Job Title: High School Equivalency Testing Specialist - Adult Education Job Requisition ID: JR0000002255 Number of Openings: 1 Shift: Any (United States of America) Compensation Details: 15.00/HR. Employment Terms: This job is a part time, non-benefited position in the Adult Education Division that reports to the Director of Adult Education at the Alpharetta campus. Testing is conducted at the Alpharetta-N. Fulton campus. Schedule: 11.5 hours per week. Hours may be reduced if testing appointments are not scheduled for an entire testing session. Shift is 5.75 hours (45 minutes for opening and closing duties, 5 hours for test proctoring). Alternating weekly schedule: Week 1: Tuesday (9:00 – 2:00 PM) and Friday (9:00 – 2:00 PM) Week 2: Monday (4:00 – 9:00 PM) and Saturday (10:00 – 3:00 PM) Repeat on a continuous basis. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent is required. Minimum of 1-year customer service experience. Beginner to intermediate experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) Must be comfortable in a quiet testing environment, hear soft voices and see details from a distance. Must be detailed-oriented and capable of following strict proctoring procedures. Must be able to pass the Pearson VUE certification test and the HiSET certification test. Preferred Qualifications Currently certified as a Test Administrator, one-year (1) or more of computer-based testing experience, three (3) years or more working in a secure testing environment proctoring standardized testing. Flexibility in work hours and days due to candidate testing needs. Job Description Summary The Testing Specialist is a key position in the exam delivery process. Under general supervision, provides testing services to customers. Researches and analyzes program/operation data; generates regular and ad hoc statistical and information reports to supervisor and all pertinent staff. Maintains necessary certifications and/or licenses. Coordinates logistics for sessions; ensures that facility area is scheduled and all equipment is prepared as needed. Understands the installation, maintenance, and upgrades of software and computer systems. Must be able to sit for long periods of time and also escort candidates to and from testing room. Duties/ Responsibilities Percentage of Time Provides testing services to customers. Maintains necessary certifications and/or licenses. (100%) Coordinates logistics for sessions; ensures that facility area is scheduled and all equipment is prepared as needed. (100%) Oversees the installation, maintenance, and upgrades of software and computer systems.
