We're partnering with Izzio Artisan Bakery , a fast-growing food manufacturer in Colorado, to find a Vice President of Plant Engineering who will play a critical role in building the engineering infrastructure needed to support the company's next stage of growth.

Izzio is the #1 in-store bakery bread brand and the #1 sourdough brand , with products sold in grocery stores nationwide. They bake real sourdough using long fermentation and traditional artisan techniques. As Izzio continues to grow, this leader will help scale its craft with care, ensuring the equipment, technology, and engineering teams are positioned to support continued expansion.

The Opportunity

As Vice President of Plant Engineering, you'll lead the strategy and execution of Engineering, Maintenance, Reliability, Automation, and Technical Operations across multiple manufacturing facilities.

You'll partner closely with Operations and executive leadership to improve equipment reliability, increase manufacturing efficiency, strengthen accountability, and build a high-performing technical organization capable of supporting continued growth.

What You'll Tackle First

• Improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime
• Build a culture of accountability across the engineering organization
• Evaluate the current structure and develop a high-performing engineering leadership team
• Strengthen preventive maintenance and reliability programs
• Support highly automated manufacturing operations while improving efficiency and performance
• Partner closely with Operations to position Engineering as a strategic business function
• Support capital investments, automation initiatives, and future manufacturing expansion

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a hands-on executive who combines strong technical expertise with exceptional leadership and the ability to build and develop teams.

Ideal candidates will bring:

• Progressive engineering leadership experience within food manufacturing
• Multi-site manufacturing leadership experience
• Strong expertise in Engineering, Maintenance, Reliability, and Automation
• Proven experience improving equipment uptime, operational performance, and manufacturing efficiency
• Experience building, developing, and leading high-performing technical teams
• Experience with capital projects, automation, and manufacturing expansion
• Strong understanding of operational KPIs, preventive maintenance, and reliability programs
• Executive presence with the ability to influence and collaborate across Operations and senior leadership
• A forward-thinking, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to challenge traditional approaches

Compensation: $230,000–$300,000 base salary plus annual bonus

Location: Greater Denver, Colorado
