Pharmacist in Charge in Orange Park, FL

A 50-bed rehabilitation hospital in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Pharmacist-in-Charge to manage pharmacy operations on an interim basis. This role offers a valuable opportunity to take on Pharmacist-in-Charge and Director of Pharmacy responsibilities within a supportive team environment. The position is contract-based, starting as soon as possible, with a 13-week duration.


Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all pharmacy operations including order verification and medication distribution
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure accurate and efficient workflow
• Collaborate with nursing staff and physicians providing medication-related consultations
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, state regulations, and safety standards
• Serve as the Interim Pharmacist-in-Charge/Director of Pharmacy with focused leadership duties

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Active Florida Pharmacist license
• Experience working in a hospital setting is highly preferred
• Ability and willingness to assume Pharmacist-in-Charge responsibilities
• Strong communication and supervisory skills
• Detail-oriented with knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• Day shifts
