Job Description
Insurance Services Office, Inc. seeks a Director, Data Engineering in Jersey City, NJ.
Duties: Lead a team of data engineers responsible for building efficient, maintainable production-grade data pipelines. Provide technical leadership and serve as the bridge between our Data and Product Engineering organizations. Lead and grow a small team of Data Engineers, including career and performance management. Partner with the Analytics Engineering team to build and maintain the roadmap for our data stack and infrastructure. Identify existing data capability and infrastructure gaps or opportunities within and across initiatives and providing subject matter expertise in support of remediation. Be a champion of data privacy and quality. Telecommuting is permitted.
$169,541 to 170,000 per year. Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, plus 5 years of experience. The position also requires the following:
5 years of experience in each of the following:
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) – EC2, ECS, S3, SQS, RDS, Dynamo DB, Cloud Watch, IAM and Lambda.
• Gitlab and CI/CD pipelines
• Managing a cloud data warehouse and a workload scheduling and orchestration framework
• Python and SQL skills and knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT development principles, data warehousing concepts, and software engineering concepts
2 years of experience working in the entity resolution space.
