We are a small, growing medical technology company operating in a highly regulated environment. Our business processes, systems, data, and controls must mature as the company grows from clinical-stage operations toward commercial scale. That creates a broad Senior Business Analyst role for someone who wants to help build the next version of the company, not simply caretake processes and systems designed by someone else.

This is not a role for someone whose experience has been limited to one large platform, one business function, or one narrow part of delivery. We need a true enterprise business analyst who can move comfortably across product development, manufacturing, Quality, clinical, commercial, Finance, HR, and corporate operations. On any given day, the work may range from SharePoint and service processes to QMS, ERP, contract lifecycle management, travel and expense, SaaS platforms, data flows, reporting, and business controls.

The work starts with disciplined curiosity. A request for technology is not always a technology problem. Sometimes the real issue is an unclear process, missing ownership, weak accountability, inconsistent data, or a gap in knowledge. You must be able to find the essential need, show where it sits in the broader value stream, and help the business decide whether the answer is process change, clearer accountability, better information, technology, or some combination of those things.

What You’ll Own

• Manage and shape business demand. Clarify the real need, expected outcome, urgency, dependencies, and value before work moves into solutioning or delivery.
• Lead discovery for complex, cross-functional initiatives by framing ambiguous problems, identifying root causes, and separating process, organizational, data, policy, and technology needs.
• Facilitate current-state and future-state process work. Draw out exceptions, handoffs, controls, decision points, roles, data needs, and the practical details that determine whether a process will actually work.
• Translate business needs into clear, testable, and traceable requirements, business rules, acceptance criteria, use cases, process designs, and decision documentation.
• Help business teams improve the process before automating it. Challenge requests that preserve unnecessary complexity, unclear ownership, or weak controls.
• Partner with systems analysts, architects, application teams, data resources, service teams, cybersecurity, Quality, Privacy, vendors, and project leaders to evaluate practical solution options.
• Analyze data and information flows to identify quality issues, broken handoffs, source-of-truth questions, reporting gaps, reconciliation needs, and control risks.
• Support fit-gap analysis, business cases, option assessments, prioritization decisions, roadmaps, SaaS feature releases, testing, deployment, adoption, and transition to support.
• Create useful operating documentation, including workflows, procedures, knowledge articles, and IT or system-administration SOPs. Help move repeatable work to the right service-delivery teams.
• Represent the internal customer when an IT design or delivery approach does not meet the underlying need, while also protecting enterprise standards, security, compliance, scalability, and supportability.
• Research problems and recommend process changes, technology alternatives, or investments that help us protect patients, strengthen compliance, move faster, reduce risk, or lower cost.
• Mentor other analysts and improve the quality and consistency of our business-analysis methods, templates, and practices.

• Stakeholders can see the process, understand their decisions and accountabilities, and agree on what problem is being solved.
• Requirements are clear enough to design, configure, test, validate, support, and audit without relying on tribal knowledge.
• Solutions address the underlying business need and fit our broader operating model rather than creating isolated workarounds.
• Risks, assumptions, dependencies, and tradeoffs are made visible early enough for leaders to make informed decisions.
• The company gains better processes, stronger controls, more reliable information, and technology that can scale with the business.
• Business partners receive clear, pragmatic guidance: turning “no” into a workable “yes” when possible, recognizing when “yes” needs to become “no,” and clearly explaining the often necessary “not right now.”

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years of progressive experience in business analysis, business process design, functional analysis, product delivery, or related roles, including leadership of complex cross-functional work; experience should demonstrate business analysis as a substantive professional discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to operate as a senior individual contributor and independently lead high-complexity analysis and major business-analysis workstreams with broad stakeholder involvement.
• Advanced capability in business process modeling, requirements engineering, capability analysis, fit-gap assessment, business rules, use cases, acceptance criteria, and traceability.
• Experience leading the business analysis workstream for a major system implementation or similarly complex business change.
• Strong understanding of enterprise applications, integrations, data flows, reporting, master data, and technology delivery lifecycles.
• Ability to recognize whether an issue is rooted in process, accountability, knowledge, data, policy, or technology and to separate business process design from premature system decisions.
• Experience facilitating senior stakeholder workshops, resolving conflicting needs, influencing without formal authority, and driving clear decisions and accountability.
• Experience with Agile, iterative, hybrid, and traditional delivery approaches with business analysis across the full solution lifecycle.
• Experience supporting validation, audit, privacy, security, data integrity, and internal control requirements in regulated or publicly traded environments.
• Experience in MedTech, life sciences, healthcare, clinical operations, regulated manufacturing, or similarly controlled industries preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Technology, Engineering, Science, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience accepted.
• Relevant certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, Lean Six Sigma, BPM, or similar credentials are useful but not required.

This is the national market pay scale.

Salary Range

$100,000—$130,000 USD
