Assistant/Associate Professor of Finance (Financial Planning & Management Focus) Tenure-Track Assistant or Associate Professor of Finance (Financial Planning & Management) Institution and Role The Tommy and Victoria Baker School of Business at The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in Finance at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, beginning Fall 2026. Position Responsibilities The successful candidate will: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in financial planning, corporate finance, and financial management. Support curriculum development aligned with CFP Board and CFA Institute content areas. Advise and mentor finance majors, guiding them toward careers in personal financial planning, wealth management, and corporate finance. Maintain Scholarly Academic (SA) status through peer‑reviewed publications and scholarly activities in financial planning, corporate finance, or financial management. Actively engage with professional organizations (e.g., CFP Board, FPA, CFA Society). Participate in service activities, including departmental and school‑level committee work. Qualifications Ph.D. in Finance (AACSB‑accredited institution; ABD considered). Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and research in financial planning and management. Preferred: CFP or CFA designation, professional financial planning/wealth management experience, or a research record in financial planning/financial management.
