Contracts Manager (Civil Construction)

Civil Construction - Contracts and Purchasing Manager Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with emphasis in supply chain management and 15+ years prior experience in procurement, supply chain management and inventory management Construction industry experience preferred Advanced knowledge of accounting, financial management, and business contract law required International purchasing experience is a plus

ROLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ability to research and analyze various types of data, including financial analysis Ability to use judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations and laws Ability to organize and prioritize work Possesses good understanding of Supply Chain Management processes and procedures Ability to identify, develop and implement process improvements in sourcing and supply management Manages the entire purchasing process from start to finish, including: Conducting initial research with the end-user Communicating with potential suppliers Negotiating terms of purchasing agreement Issuing purchase order(s) Monitoring the delivery status and receipt of goods Effectively purchases consumable goods (safety supplies, hand tools, etc.), construction materials (concrete, rebar, PT, etc.), equipment (generators, concrete buckets, etc.), and services (rental equipment) at a national level in order to maximize profits. This includes: Standardizing items as much as possible among the regions, in order to improve purchasing power by buying in bulk.
