Senior Accounting Associate

Palmer Group has partnered with our client in their search for a Senior Accounting Associate to join their team! This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting transactions across accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, cash application, and reconciliations. This role ensures efficient and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and cash receipts while supporting month-end close activities and maintaining strong internal controls. Work Model: On-Site What You Will Do: Process and manage full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice review, coding, approvals, vendor payments, and vendor statement reconciliations Prepare and issue daily customer invoices while resolving billing questions and discrepancies Process cash receipts, ACH payments, and wire transfers; accurately apply customer payments Monitor cash activity, cash balances, and perform key account reconciliations Research and resolve payment discrepancies, unapplied cash, and vendor or customer inquiries Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, reporting, and audit support Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and workflow efficiency Collaborate with purchasing, operations, and other departments to resolve accounting issues and support business objectives What You Will Need to Be Successful: Associate degree, bachelor's degree, or equivalent accounting experience 5+ years of accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or transactional accounting experience Strong knowledge of AP, AR, billing, cash application, and account reconciliations Experience with accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel
