About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Project Development to provide executive leadership for the development and execution of a multi-gigawatt, technology-agnostic portfolio of utility-scale power generation and energy storage assets. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the senior development activities in the Eastern and Central U.S., including setting regional development strategy, evaluating and balancing portfolio risk, and maintaining accountability for projects from advanced greenfield stage through NTP and COD. This role requires a leader with a strong background in utility-scale power project development, particularly in large-scale wind, solar, and energy storage, and a proven track record in managing and scaling geographically distributed development teams. Applicants for the Vice President of Project Development position at the company should have a minimum of 20 years' experience in the industry, with a focus on leadership across multiple ISOs/RTOs and generation technologies. The role demands a strategic leader who can ensure portfolio quality, execution outcomes, and alignment with corporate investment and construction objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of project finance, tax credits, interconnection processes, and late-stage execution, and will be adept at fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and execution excellence. A Bachelor's degree is required, with an MBA being a plus, and the candidate should be prepared to build, mentor, and scale high-performing development teams across multiple geographies and technologies.
