Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Preferred License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required Certifications: - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS or equivalent) certification: Required - AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS certification: Required Must-Have: - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred - Acute care facility experience: Preferred Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to patients' health or situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues. Develops a care plan that prescribes interventions to attain desired outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining patient care outcomes. Identifies desired outcomes for the patient or the patient’s situation. Collaborates with the patient, family, and healthcare providers to provide care in a safe and healing environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment teams. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties among healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Commits to the safety and wellbeing of associates and patients.
