This person must have good organizational and communication skills. The primary duties for the Warehouse Associate will be carried out in a warehouse manufacturing facility. This position may require the operation of power industrial trucks such as forklifts, cherry pickers, electric pallet jacks and sit-down forklifts. This position will involve opportunities to learn technical aspects of the business, as well as working closely with personnel in Operations, Customer Service, Purchasing, Quality and Accounting./ppstrongESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:/strong/ppCore duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to provide support to additional departments based off the department or current business needs./pulliResponsible for ensuring FIFO (First In First Out) of packaging material usage/liliOperates forklift in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a valid and up-to-date forklift certification./liliLabels and stores all supplies, retains, raw materials, and packaging components in correct dedicated storage areas with the warehouse facilities./liliCoordinates activities of transferring materials to and from operating facilities internally or externally./liliMust be able to lift 25-50lbs, regularly./liliUnderstands inventory control principles./liliUse of the RF Scanner for warehouse department operational functions of shipping, receiving, staging, replenishment, and inventory control cycle count functions./liliHas knowledge and skillset to perform warehouse functions (shipping, inventory, receiving, staging, prepping, and destruction) and may perform regularly depending on the needs of the operation./liliUnderstands and implements lean practices and demand flow strategies/liliHas strong math skills/liliDemonstrates a willingness to learn new tasks/liliCycle counting, root cause analysis, and results reporting/liliRemoves trash from production and warehouse areas and places in dumpster/liliLocates items strategically to reduce wasted motion and maximize space utilization/liliOther duties as assigned./liliUtilize excel to monitor operational objectives for KPI reporting./liliKeep and verify all records of operational duties assigned./liliConduct regular physical verification to determine the actual quantity and account for variances./li/ulpstrongEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:/strong/pulliHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience./li/ulpstrongCERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES:/strong/pulliForklift Certification required (ability to re-certify with employer)/liliValid drivers license/li/ulpstrongMATHEMATICAL SKILLS:/strong/ppAbility to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide. Ability to perform these operations using of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance./ppstrongREASONING ABILITY:/strong/ppAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations./ppstrongPHYSICAL DEMANDS:/strong/ppWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
