Job Title: Manufacturing Test Technician Location: Rancho Santa Margarita, CA Employment Type: Temp to Hire Industry: Aerospace Defense Compensation: $26 - $32/hr Schedule: 9/80 work schedule About the Opportunity The Manufacturing Test Technician is responsible for supporting testing of secure communication systems with a primary focus on circuit board and LRU testing, including environmental stress screening. What You'll Do Essential functions of the position (Other functions may be delegated as needed): Set up and perform functional / final testing of circuit card assemblies along with top‑level LRUs. Set up Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) equipment including vibration and thermal chambers and perform the ESS tests. Operate a standard variety of electronic test equipment, including oscilloscopes, analyzers, power supplies, meters, and other specialized electronics test equipment necessary for testing. Follow formal quality and test/specification documentation, aided by a Test Engineer when necessary. Diagnose the cause of any malfunctions found at the top‑level assembly, lower‑level assemblies, and/or circuit card assemblies of intricate audio transmitting/receiving equipment and make all necessary corrections with the help of Test Engineering and/or Manufacturing Engineering. Provide verbal and written reports as required. Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned, including electromechanical assembly and conformal coat masking, automated coating, coating removal & touch‑up, bonding on CCAs. What You'll Bring High School Diploma or GED Minimum 3 years of experience What Sets You Apart Good verbal and written English communication skills. Computer skills: Outlook, Word, Excel, PDF, and online training capabilities. Ability to read and understand circuit and wiring diagrams/schematics, technical specifications, and electronic test procedures. Testing abilities for circuit card assemblies and LRUs. Knowledge and understanding of all variations of electronics test, multilayered tests, the ability to analyze results of any tests, and make appropriate adjustments or corrections to test setups as required. Aptitude or ability to perform rework on circuit card assemblies using basic soldering skills to remove and replace through‑hole and SMT components.
