Job Summary

A growing multidisciplinary engineering team in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager (P.E.) for a direct hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a Texas-licensed Professional Engineer who combines strong electrical design expertise with project leadership, client communication, and cross-discipline coordination.

The Electrical Project Manager (P.E.) will lead electrical design efforts for MEP projects involving industrial facilities and infrastructure, managing projects from planning through completion while ensuring technical accuracy, code compliance, and high-quality deliverables. Key Responsibilities

- Lead electrical engineering design, calculations, analysis, specifications, construction documents, and cost estimates for projects of varying size and complexity.
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, deliverables, and client expectations from planning through completion.
- Coordinate electrical design with mechanical, plumbing, structural, architectural, and other engineering disciplines.
- Perform technical reviews, QA/QC checks, field observations, and construction administration support.
- Provide technical direction, mentorship, and guidance to engineers and design staff.
- Support client communication, proposals, scopes of work, fee estimates, and business development efforts.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $110,000 to $140,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage electrical design projects for MEP, industrial facilities, infrastructure, or related engineering work.
- Lead project schedules, budgets, scope, deliverables, and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Develop and review electrical plans, specifications, construction documents, and engineering calculations.
- Provide client-facing project leadership and technical support during design and construction.

- Active Texas Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 6+ years of relevant engineering experience, or Master’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong background in electrical engineering design and project management.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
- Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, engineering practices, and code-compliant design solutions.
- Experience coordinating with multiple engineering and design disciplines.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, priorities, and stakeholder expectations.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, written communication, verbal communication, and client relationship skills.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.

Preferred Qualifications

- Familiarity with electrical system commissioning.
- Experience supporting proposals, scopes of work, fee estimates, and business development activities.
- Experience conducting field observations and supporting construction administration.
- Prior experience in a collaborative multidisciplinary engineering environment.
