Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical, psychosocial, and health history.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Administer medications safely and accurately, monitoring for therapeutic effects and adverse reactions.
• Perform various nursing procedures, treatments, and interventions as prescribed.
• Document all patient care activities, observations, and responses to treatment accurately and timely in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Respond to medical emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.

Required Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Previous travel nursing experience.
• Experience with Epic EMR system.

Skills & Competencies

• Clinical Skills: Advanced assessment skills, medication administration, IV insertion and management, wound care, EKG interpretation, phlebotomy, basic life support.
• Equipment Proficiency: Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner), vital sign monitors, IV pumps, patient lift equipment.
• Soft Skills: Critical thinking, strong communication (verbal and written), problem-solving, teamwork, empathy, adaptability, time management, attention to detail.
