Job Summary
Operating Room Pediatrics (OR PEDS) Specialist in a trauma Level 1 facility. This role involves providing direct patient care for pediatric surgical patients, supporting efficient workflows within a busy surgical environment, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and high-quality outcomes. The position starts on October 26, 2026, and is scheduled for a 13-16 week contract with night shift coverage.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Licensure / Certification / Registration: Valid registered nurse credential from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date; Advanced Life Support (AHA or ARC) obtained within 6 months of hire; BLS (AHA or ARC) obtained within 1 month of hire; professional licensure required at time of hire
• Years of Experience: 1 year minimum preferred, with a minimum of 1 year of OR pediatrics experience preferred
• Specialty: Operating Room Pediatrics Only
• Responsibilities include delivering perioperative nursing care by monitoring patient status, supporting sterile technique, preparing instruments, assisting surgeons, ensuring accurate documentation in Electronic Health Record (EHR), and supporting surgical team efforts.
• Additional Preferences: Pediatric RN experience is a plus.
