Production Supervisor

Job Title : 2nd shift Production Supervisor Location : Lancaster, NY Employment Type : Temp to Hire Industry : Consumer Services Compensation : $28.00 - $33.00 per hour Schedule : 40 hours per week, 2nd shift 4:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. Responsibilities Participate in daily shift hand-off meetings with the 1st Shift Supervisor to review active work orders, machine line assignments, and production priorities for the shift. Ensure all floor employees follow established production priorities and work efficiently throughout the shift. Provide active, visible leadership on the production floor—leading by example and maintaining a strong, positive presence. Partner with machine operators to troubleshoot equipment and process issues in real time. Communicate effectively with the maintenance team regarding equipment concerns and downtime. Keep management informed of shift progress, production issues, and team performance. Make overtime staffing decisions when applicable, selecting appropriate personnel based on operational needs. Oversee pack‑out line operations and ensure quality and throughput standards are met. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. 5+ years of supervisory experience. 5+ years of experience in printing, graphic arts, or paper converting. Cutting/slitting experience. Good interpersonal and communication skills; able to work across shifts and departments. A calm, professional attitude and strong personal poise—this role sets the tone for the shift. Ability to make sound, timely decisions in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Comfortable in a flat organizational structure where collaboration is key.
