Role Overview The CT Technologist applies expertise to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and supportive patient care. They work independently operating imaging and radiographic equipment, ensuring diagnostic accuracy while maintaining patient safety and comfort. Key Responsibilities Perform CT procedures following department protocols, capturing diagnostic images efficiently. Use technical knowledge to optimize imaging while minimizing radiation exposure (ALARA). Maintain cleanliness and functionality of equipment and rooms, reporting issues promptly. Obtain patient history, verify orders, and ensure patient identity before exams. Communicate procedures clearly, address patient questions, and reduce anxiety using AIDET. Ensure patient safety, privacy, and comfort throughout the process. Administer contrast media, perform venipuncture, and position patients correctly. Review images for quality, repeat or adjust as needed, and document accurately in RIS/PACS. Respond to medical emergencies, monitor patient condition, and assist with life-support equipment. Organize workflows, support departmental operations, and ensure regulatory compliance. Qualifications & Skills High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Minimum 1 year radiology experience. Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), and BLS (American Heart Association).
