Senior Staff Accountant

Staff/Senior Staff AccountantThe Staff/Senior Staff Accountant will assist with the accounting process for multiple subsidiaries within the organization and work closely with the Director of Operational Accounting & Reporting to prepare monthly financials.This role is located in Louisville, KY and is in the office 3 days a week, and at home 2 days. It's a 4 week rotating schedule so you are home either Mon/Tues or Thurs/Fri. Wednesdays the entire team is in office.Responsibilities:Prepare and record journal entries, including generating supporting schedules and documentation.Reconcile general ledger accounts to multiple external systems and data sources.Analyze monthly P&L's for discrepancies and issues.Research and resolve/explain unexpected variances and fluctuations.Assist with external audits.Provide assistance and support to the leadership.Participate in process improvement initiatives.Develop and maintain positive, collaborative working relationships with direct supervisor and co-workers.Qualifications:Experience in using ERP systems, especially NetSuiteAdvanced Excel skillsDemonstrated knowledge of GAAPThrives in a fast-paced, constantly changing environmentAbility to recognize when priorities need to shiftAbout:Note: This job description in no way states or implies that that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee(s) incumbent in this position.
