The SurgiCenter in Toms River, NJ is seeking an experienced and dependable Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) to join our ambulatory surgery center team.

We specialize in ENT and Facial Plastic Surgery procedures and are looking for a nurse who is committed to providing attentive, high-quality care to our patients throughout their surgical experience.

Position Responsibilities

The Per Diem RN will work with our surgeon, anesthesia provider, nurses, and clinical staff to provide safe, efficient patient care. Responsibilities may include:

• Providing pre-operative and post-operative nursing care
• Preparing and assessing patients before surgical procedures
• Monitoring patients during recovery and ensuring safe discharge
• Administering medications and treatments as ordered
• Educating patients and caregivers regarding post-operative care and discharge instructions
• Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Following infection-control, patient-safety, and facility protocols
• Assisting with efficient patient flow throughout the surgical day
• Communicating effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, patients, families, and other members of the clinical team

Qualifications

• Current New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Current BLS & ACLS certification
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgery center, PACU, operating room, critical care, or other perioperative setting preferred
• Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Excellent communication and patient-care skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a small, collaborative surgical team
• Dependable, organized, and able to adapt to the changing needs of the surgical schedule

Schedule & Compensation

This is a per diem position , with hours based on the facility's surgical schedule and staffing needs. Flexibility and reliability are important.

Competitive per diem hourly compensation based on experience and qualifications.
